Weather conditions:
The booking cannot be cancelled or rescheduled without forfeiting the payment in full if Typhoon Signal No. 1 is hoisted, or during Yellow or Red Rainstorm Warnings, thunderstorms, and/or other inclement weather conditions.
If Typhoon Signal No. 3 or higher, or a Black Rainstorm Warning, is hoisted at 7:00 am or before departure on the day of sailing, all trips for that day will be postponed and rescheduled. Sunrise Cruises will refund 50% of the security deposit if the booking party is unable to reschedule.
If a Typhoon Signal No. 3 or higher is hoisted, or a Black Rainstorm Warning is issued during the trip, the Captain has the right to return to the point of pick-up immediately. In accordance with the Marine Ordinance, Sunrise Cruises emphasizes that no compensation will be provided for any remaining unused time.
Mechanical issues:
If a problem occurs with the boat prior to departure and repairs cannot be completed in time, the customer will be notified as soon as possible. We will make every effort to provide a comparable alternative vessel. If a replacement is unavailable, the customer may choose to either reschedule the trip or receive a full refund of their deposit/payment.
In the event of a mechanical breakdown during a trip, the captain will attempt to resolve the issue immediately. If the problem cannot be fixed within one hour, the captain will make the necessary arrangements to return all passengers safely to shore.
Compensation Guidelines:
• No Compensation: If the boat has already been out for more than half of the scheduled duration or has already reached its destination, no compensation or make-up time will be provided.
• Partial Trips: If compensation time is granted, it must be redeemed on a regular weekday (excluding public holidays). Alternatively, a partial refund may be negotiated and agreed upon with the booking party.
Food and Drinks:
At the end of the junk trip, upon arrival at the drop-off point, passengers are prohibited to remove any leftover foods or beverages. Sunrise Cruises will not be responsible for guests with allergies. However, we will accommodate guests with allergy-friendly foods if notified in advance while booking. Sunrise Cruises foods are prepared in the kitchen where nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten etc are handled so despite careful preparation we cannot guarantee traces of nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten etc present in the menu. Please note that the junk staffs aren’t aware of all the ingredients that has been used during the preparation and therefore will not able to answer any questions regarding food served on board.
